Born and raised in the Southeast, I've been paddling for 20+ years, and have grown up in the paddling community.  I began moving into media creation in my late teens, as a side hobby to paddling during an injury. Paddling is my passion, or more specifically - the people that make up the paddling community. What I love most about media is the way I can both show those people, and create content for them that helps further the stoke.

I currently live in Saluda, NC, and travel all over the Southeast and beyond for work. I instruct both canoe and kayak at Nantahala Outdoor Center, as well as managing and creating media for Plateau Creative. I'm lucky to have the backing of some really great people and companies, including  Dagger, Esquif, UST Gear, and Singing Pastures Farms, without whom I couldn't do what I do.

The river is my way to combine a love for the outdoors with a culmination of physical unconscious competency. Through instruction, through media, through discussion of what whitewater entails - I hope to share that with others. I want everyone to have the opportunity to experience what paddling has given me, and more. I want to tell stories, tell experiences. I want to show the love that we have for each other and the water, for the sport. I want to both be an asset, and enable others to be so as well. I want to further inclusivity, rather than exclusivity, in our community. I've gotten to teach a really wide range of people in my time instructing, and I want to make sure that people know there is no type when it comes to boaters, everyone fits the mold (or at least makes it their own). I'm here to give out what has already been given to me.

Much love, y'all.
